Canberra Goulburn Athletics Selections Carnival
The Results are in:
St Anne’s was represented in the Western region athletics squad by 12 Primary students last Tuesday 27th August at the AIS track in Canberra.
All students are to be congratulated on their efforts and there were some amazing results:
Quinn Crawford 3rd 100m, 2nd 200m, 3rd 800m,
Ella McCrone 7th 100m, 2nd High jump, 3rd long jump,
Zephanie Lancaster 1st 100m, 1st 200m, 1st 800m, 2nd 1500m, 2nd high jump, 2nd long jump, Annabelle Gray 8th 100m, 8th 200m, 3rd 800m, 4th long jump, 5th discus,
Grace McCrone 5th 100m, 5th 200m, 5th 1500m, 1st high jump, 2nd long jump, 4th shot put, 3rd discus
Stella Krause 13th 100m, 12th 200m, 7th shot put, 7th discus, 2nd long jump, 1st shot put
Elsie Keith 9th 100m,
Belle Wilesmith 8th 200m, 4th 800m,
Lucy Buerckner 11th 200m,
Sarah Smith 2nd discus
Duke Krause 4th 100m,
Barney Taylor 7th 100m, 6th 200m, 3rd 800m,1st long jump, 3rd shot put, 7th discus
Bailey McCormack 3rd discus, 5th shot put
Junior relay 2nd consisting of Quinn Crawford, Ella McCrone, Rylee Overs and Belle Wilesmith
Senior girls relay came 2nd, consisting of Zephanie Lancaster, Elsie Keith, Grace McCrone and Annabelle Gray
Zephanie Lancaster finished first in the intermediate age champion category. Grace McCrone was runner up senior girls and Barney Taylor was runner up senior boys age champion - an amazing effort at such a high level of competition.
A number of students will now compete at the next level in Sydney in week 10, they include Quinn Crawford, Ella McCrone, Zephanie Lancaster, Grace McCrone, Stella Krause, Sarah Smith and Barney Taylor, and the junior and senior girls relay teams-we wish them the very best of luck and congratulations.
