Canberra Goulburn Secondary Swimming Carnival

The school sent their biggest secondary team in recent memory to the Canberra Goulburn Swimming Carnival held at Gunghalin last week. It is the first time in a long time that we have been able to fill a relay team and competed in the Junior Girls event as the first event of the day - narrowly missing out on a 3rd place.

We had students across most of the 50m events and some of the 100m and 200m. There were some great results across the day with most students walking away with a personal best. The following students placed in the age group to receive ribbons on the day Ella Matthews 3rd in 50m Freestyle, 2nd in 50m Breastroke and 2nd in 100m Freestyle in the 12 years girls age group. Zali Sinclair finished 2nd in the 12 years girls 50m butterfly and Carus Gray coming in 3rd for the 14 years boys 50m backstroke.

A special mention to Ella Matthews who was runner-up as the 12 years girls Age Champion and also a special mention to all the parents/carers who were able to take the students to the event.
