Year 3 have been learning about the early days of our colonial history. We have learnt about how tough life was in England, why convicts had to be sent to Australia and how life was for the new settlers in the new colony. We put ourselves in the shoes of the convicts and wrote letters to our families back in England, describing the trip to Australia and the differences between England and our new home. After printing our letters off we made them look old and weathered, as if they were 220 years old!!
