Western Region Athletics success 2023

St Anne’s sent a squad of 26 athletes to Tumut last Friday to compete for Western Region selection. In foggy, miserable conditions, to start with, students did well to perform on the wet ground, but eventually the sun came out and made conditions much more pleasant. 

The squad performed wonderfully to be beaten by half a point in the overall championship trophy! 

Congratulations to the following students who will represent Western Region in Canberra next term: Livvy Blackwell, Kayla Block, Quinn Crawford, Ava Derrick, Annabelle Gray, Joey Guymer, Elsie Keith, Matthias Lancaster, Zephanie Lancaster, Ella McCrone, Grace McCrone, Nate Swanston. The junior girls relay won  and also qualified consisting of Annabelle Gray, Zephanie Lancaster, Ella McCrone and Quinn Crawford. The senior girls relay finished second to also qualify, they were, Ava Derrick, Livvy Blackwell, Elsie Keith and Grace McCrone. Well done to all competitors and good luck to the athletes who will represent Western Region.
